9 - 21+ High Priority
3 - 8 Moderate Priority
1 - 2 Low Priority

If you scored anywhere between 3 (Moderate) and 21+ (High) there are some things you can do to enhance the function of your kidney/bladder.

Your kidneys and bladder are responsible for cleansing wastes from the blood and eliminating them in the form of urine. Without enough water, the kidneys become clogged because they cannot excrete these toxins.

    • Marshmallow root tea helps to strengthen and cleanse the bladder. Drink 1 quart of it daily.

    • The herb Uva Ursi has antiseptic and astringent qualities and it's effective against E-Coli bacteria. Try 100mg of the extract 2-3 times daily for 3 to 4 days.

    • Probiotics, 5 to 10 billion of acidophilus or bifidum daily. This bacteria keeps the balance of intestinal flora.

    • Cranberries and blueberries both contain a compound that prevent bacteria from sticking to the bladder walls. Drink 16 oz. daily of unsweetened juice.

    • Avoid alcohol and refined sugar because bacteria thrive on sugar.

    • There is a high rate of calcium-containing kidney stones in the U.S. mostly because of our diets. Increase fiber, cut down or out highly refined carbohydrates, cut out high fat, especially animal protein. Also cut out Vitamin-D-enriched foods and high calcium containing foods.

    • Eating less protein is very important because when ingestion is high it leads to increased calcium in the urine.

    • Drink 48 oz. of water daily.

    • Dandelion root extract aids in the excretion of the kidneys waste products.
